This is probably very commonly asked and i have looked at other threads.

I have but one question, do they work?
Another, do they require any special/specific commands to use or is it just load object?

I know they require to be put in pak files with their textures, which i have done.

(NOTE: Anyone looking for a pak3 file opener, winzip doesnt seem to work, google for a program called pakscape)

Any tips on this general area would also be appreciated.

Thanks
Philip

Your question is a bit confused I'm afraid.

You don't use LOAD OBJECT to load textures. You either reference the textures from within the model you are loading (by using a 3d modelling programme) or you can independently load the image and texture it onto the model by using the load image and texture object commands.

Quote: "LOAD BSP
This command will load a BSP world into the 3D scene. The BSP world automatically draws to the current camera and cannot be rotated
or repositioned. Culling, texturing and collision are all handled automatically and through the related world commands. The first
parameter allows you to specify a packed file containing the BSP world files, normally a PAK or PK3 file. If the BSP world is not being
loaded from a packed file, this parameter should be an empty string. The second parameter is the BSP filename of the world you wish to
load. This file can either be contained within the specified packed file, or exist as a standalone BSP file. If loading the BSP file as a
standalone file, ensure the current directory contains any files used by the BSP world.

SYNTAX
LOAD BSP PK3 Filename, BSP Filename
"

is this what you are asking?

Heckno answered what i wanted.Im not confused, i know how to use textures i just put too much information into what i was asking.

Im just asking how to use md3 and bsp files.

Thanks for the help both of you. I just need to wait for my school to get DBP so that i can actually implement the BSP and MD3 use.

Pakscape is good, but WinZip should work for PK4 and PK3, it won't for PK2 or PAK. If it doesn't for PK4/PK3 then it won't open in Doom3/Quake3. As it's just the WinZip format renamed, not even the Zip format but WinZip specifically.

As for the rest fo your question, I think the help is pretty clear.
