btw, the objects move slow enough so, it can't be the objects just instantley hiting you, the game just starts out like that.

You've not given us anything worthwhile to go on.

Apart from using:

if object collision(1,5)=1 then execute file "dead.exe","","": end
if object collision(2,5)=1 then execute file "dead.exe","","": end
if object collision(3,5)=1 then execute file "dead.exe","","": end
if object collision(4,5)=1 then execute file "dead.exe","","": end

(which is only a cosmetic change and doesn't affect anything), there's nothing wrong with the code you posted.

What makes you think the problem is down to these lines?

hey smart guy eres a cool little trick for ya

instead of declaring the sam thing over and over and over like
position objext use a for next loop. saves a lot of typing file size and program runs little faster not to mention eaiser to read and figure out problems

didnt figure out your problem yet though

so, any posibilitys to whats wrong? could the program posibly have an error with dark basic pro itself? mabey it doesen't pay atention to the first part, as an error? I just have no idea. It kinda gets anoying when somthing won't work for no visible reason .

what its suposed to do: when 1 of 4 objects cololide with object 5 (player), its suposed to end and play an animation, (game over).
what it does: the game starts, then ends, then plays animation. simple! well, would be simple if I knew what was wrong.
bottom line: animation problem (plays animation (game over) when the game starts) / collision problem (objects are suposed to hit (1,2,3,4) object 5 (player))
