As the title says, after I installed version 5.9 of DBP, I get a error message asking for some MSVCR71.dll. What is MSVCR71.dll and where can I get it?

MSVCR71.dll should be part of your Operating System if your running Windows XP SP1, Windows 2000 SP2 or Windows 2003/5.

NVIDIA also provide these DLLs on thier developer.nvidia.com website, for thier Photoshop Plug-in which requires them.

Download and install the .NET framework 1.1 redistibutable. That includes this file, and various other additions to the OS.

It also signals that one or both of Lee and Mike have switched to the VC7.1 compiler

I have Windows 2000 SP4 + .net 1.1, and I don't have the file. Had to add it manually.

Same, but for some reason, now I get the error message, DBP loads up and I can use it, but when I run a program, all it does is give me the error.

Which folder should I put it in? I currently have it in the main folder.

Looks like I was wrong then ... or read the wrong list of files somewhere

If you need somewhere safe to download the file from then you can find it in the VC++ toolkit - just put it into your system32 folder

Thanks IanM, that worked. I also had to download another dll also for it to work. For those that are lazy, put these attached dlls into your system32 folder for DBP to work if it isn't.
