Howdy DBers. Just stoping by to see if I can get some opinions on a website I am currently working on. I know there are some issues with some browsers and I am trying to get as many test results as I can so I can see what I need to work on. The site is at http://www.directpcconsulting.net ANy comments are welcome also if you could specify your browser and version number, OS and any other information you feel may be helpfull.

Thanks,
Chris Smart Assitier

All i can say is that you need to optimise your graphics a bit as they take ages to d/l on 56k

I went outside once and my FPS rate dropped to 5.

One of your graphics is PNG, this is quite a large file...you should export it to gif.

It's a fact that most people get annoyed waiting for a website to load, you could lose potential customers

Why get broardband?

I love to be flamed on multiplayer games, have to wait for music, be able to make a cup of tea while the page loads.

(Maybe not the last one though).

You think i would get broadband if i could affor it?

My wanted list:
- A PC in my Bedroom
- Broadband to my bedroom
- 3DS MAX 5 (Full/Retail)
- New MP3 player

If you wait, you'll be able to get SADSL, which BT are trying out now.

ha

Did you know that it is possible to get 10GBit connections?

Did you know that 30GBit connections will be avaliable soon?

Either way it will still cost more that normal ADSL or dial-up, so i am not affected

Indeed, but SADSL should be affordable, unlike GBit connections (for quite a while at least).

Okay, here's the run down:

Overall the site is good, but there are a few things I'd change. Spelling across the site needs some work. Here's a couple things I caught:

PC Repair:
"Qauck 3"

PC Sales:
CompTIA graphic is a few pixels lower on this page than on the others, overlaps graphic beneath it a bit.

Network Solutions:
"Securely share 1 Internet connection" this is more of a grammar error. It would be best to either use the word "one" in place of "1" or even better say "Securely share a single internet connection".

About the company:
"Well can assist you in planning" should be "We can assist you in planning" or "We will assist you in planning".

All pages:
maingraphic.gif is being somewhat resized it seems, an it makes the diagonal lines look fuzzy. See the attached image:

Other than those little things I think the site looks good. I'm guessing that the text isn't finalized as I just got to the "About the staff" section and saw tghe temp text in there.

Sorry if it seems like I am being overly critical, but I proof a lot of our sites before they go out around here, so I am used to catching the little things...
