The old MatEdit.com web site died a while back and although I still own the domain name, I decided to incorporate it into another site of mine rather than get separate hosting for it.

As it's not 100% complete yet, I've only mentioned in passing on the forum, but not 'officially' announced it in it's own post. It's still not finished, but it's now got enough info on there to make it worth letting you know about it.

First of all, the site is aimed at the newcomer to medium experience level DB user and as such won't tell the experienced DB coder very much.

Code-wise, it's aimed at the DBC user, however the information at the beginner level is equally valid to DBPro users also, so don't think that if you are a Pro user it won't apply to you - it will!

There are in-depth tutorials for the beginner written with the assumption that you have never programmed before.

Other tutorials are aimed a little higher and explain things like Functions and Arrays, while the newest one posted yesterday covers Simple Collision using DB's collision commands - including Sliding Collision. More are in the pipeline and you can suggest what you would like to see.

Also, there's a growing Code Hints section containing lots of hints and tips from 'how to fade out your screens' to 'how to make the camera rotate around your character' and 'How to create boolean variables in DBC'.

There's a Download section and in the near future I will be adding some useful programs to the Utilities page.

Please stop by and check it out if you can.

The collision in DBPro uses the same commands and exactly the same method.

Mat edit is really cool. I think you should add a link to your DB IDE on your website.

There was little response to the 'Dark Place' post, so I scrapped it.

Especially with LLRGT now having a new home, another forum I thought was one too many...
