I was wondering if anyone could help. I purchased a Motorola V3 and i was wondering if there is any way of getting more memory than 5MB

I know some other motorola Models support an external card drive. Has anyone found a way of increasing its memory?

Any help will be much appriciated.

Don't think so. I looked into one a while back, and in the end got a Sony S700i instead. Mainly because of the amount of memory it has (32mb I think, plus can chuck in 128mb memory cards), and also because of the better camera and awesome screen.

Although I love the design. Don't care if they are called a birds phone (looks like a makeup vanity case thingy), is totally nice. And closest thing to my old StarTac (top one that didn't look like a hunchback) and V50 Moto phones. Shame about the memory is all...

Cheers

I've been told by a few people that the new Razor V3 is bad.
Not that any of them will tell me why.

Right now I'm still using my T39 World. I miss Ericsson's old style.

New? Is there a new model? I mean it's been out ages. V6 is just about ready to come out. And nothing amazingly advanced about the V3, just really thin. Oh, and a friend reckons it's slow as pants. My S700i runs rings around it (3D golf is a good example), but is a bit of a brick.

Yep. Although a bit of a brick. There are now 4 people in my department who have his phone.

Until there's a new "new" model i'm pretty sure it's dubbed as new.
I dunno.. I gave up keeping up with cellphones when Ericsson was merged with Sony. All of these new handsets that seem to do everything for you, plus happen to be digital cameras. They seem silly.

Just really like the advert for the Razor
I used to play games on my P900, until I accidentially dropped it the sink. Was showing my brother something while he was watching up and it slipped. Poor lil guy.

It had Sega Rally which was cool. Touch Screen controls ^_^
Quite large but a lot of fun. This said I'm not so bothered about all the fancy features, cause they're not as much fun when almost everyone you know still has older cells that don't do anything but accept/send calls

That 3D Golf game is impressive, and the Splinter Cell series is pretty good. A friend of mine has a 3D version of one of the Splinter cells on his S700i. It runs fairly well too. Decent little gizmo. Personally though I'm addicted to Midnight Pool. Classic top down 2D pool game (can't compete with 3D pool on my PDA), but good stuff none the less.

I look forward to the next generation of phones using GoForce3D chips. Pixel Shader 1.1 and 130K Polygons/Sec ^_^ ho ho ho

Alright so thats about the power of a GeForce 256 with shaders but still for the power consumption that is just awesome. Thier SDK is fairly simple to use too.

You Euro-lads are lucky to have the cool phones. I'm stuck with a Nokia 3220 --- not exactly the cream of the crap. The best games on there are the 2D Splinter Cell games (which are pretty fun actually). We are stuck in the stone age with cell phone technology

How come like 99% of US movies are like Motorolas? Seemed they were using (the rubbish version) of my StarTac for like years, before they moved onto my V50 like 2 years too late. Weird.

Anyways, whats the signal like with so much space? I mean do you have to have like serious aerials? Don't think I could have a phone again with an aerial. Even my old V50 (really small) used to stick in my side.

Was this directed at me? If so--- yes, the signal here is one of the only good things about owning a cell phone. I haven't had a land line in years, because there's really no point when you carry your cell around all day anyways. My wife has her own cell too :-P

lmao yeah can't do that here... cellphone charges are ridiculous.
even on contact your paying atleast 2-3x more than landlines.

wish we had Japans phone rates
I wouldn't mind so much if the signal was excellent, but I don't remember the last time I had a really clear conversation with someone in town over the phone.

out in the country a bit you get awesome recieption but even like just around the house or outside... absolute cack.

Not on 3, Orange or T-Mobile by any chance? I've used O2 and Vodafone, with decent reception.

It makes you wonder how far we've come as a species and as a civilisation, really. I've got three mobile phones. They're driving me nuts sometimes, and I want to toss them in the nearest lake and then head into the forest to find a nice and comfy cave I could live in.

I've got a cute little Sharp GX25 Ferrrari model (Vodafone), a Nokia 3510i (yeah, old as heck) and I've got a Nokia 6680. Why such an onslaught of phones? Well, two of the phones are my business phones and one private. Except one of the business phones is more a games pad.
