title says it all.. ever tried to sell anything as shareware ? I know the market for shareware have dropped the last 5-6 years, but Im anyway going to try it.. I guess other people in here have tried it too.. what did you do ? did it sell ? did you get published in a magazine ? ...

oh.. and have anyone used cnets download.com for selling ? It seems like they have a nice merchant service (http://www.upload.com/) as they add a trial time etc to your program.. they take 12% for it, but it could be worth it..

Interesting... through what service? Just a Paypal link on your site or something like Share-It?

No - I just advertised on my website and was sent either cheques (or at that time, some money via PayPal).

I have too--- with a game I made with PlayBasic. I didn't advertise it that much, though. I use ShareIt.

I sold a few games years ago as shareware and demos, for Amiga and PC... actually scratch that it was nearly ten years ago lol I am making a commercial product in dbpro, and have been for 3-4 years - I've had a lot of interest and offers of money for pre-orders. Many users on this forum have made succesful plug-ins etc which people buy through paypal / shareit / world pay
