I want to start a game but I was wondering what kind of game do you guys want to see/like to play.
I was looking around the work in progress forum and found that most people mad Rpg/mmorpg's so I won't be doing that.
What do you lot want to see.

There's not really a decent street/rally racing game made in DB/P which springs to mind...

I was thinking of a racing game. Lets just see what other ideas crop up before I decide though.
But unless I get one I like as much as this I will stick with this idea.

Man, do whatever you want to do, because nobody's going to want to play your game no matter what you make. They'll make suggestions, sure. They'll use you for your time and talents and when the time comes, and not too soon, they'll put you down like a lame horse. But you won't be lame. No. What they won't realize is that you are a magic horse. A magic horse with horseshoes made of stainless love. Go get em tiger.

Well, I agree a racing game would be a differant, but Jimmy makes sense do what you want, but if its your fist go, do something easy for you, and well, a racing game would be a good practice for learning. What I like to see is the original, simple and creative games, a bit of everything can work, an adult movie directer (Censored of course) on his way home then uhoh, he speeds, the police don't like it, police chase, and add weird obstacles like old ladys on the motorway to run over, and then go off into something else creative.

Do not you not ever not know when not to not read not my whole not post? I know it was too obscure for you, but you should, at the very least, know when you don't understand something enough to not react so stupididdly.

@suppuku arts No this is not my first game so You could say I was Alright at programming.

@Darkbasic mad
Yeah that is what I want to go for but GT4 is amazing and I don't quite think it will be anywhere near as good.

@Jimmy I guess you are right but I will still stay with the racing game.

What I do want to know is if people prefer to race in first person perspective or third person?

Jimmy isn't trying to be funny, he is succeeding.

Do a racing game, but make it arcadey like Ridge Racer Type 4!

I personally like playing using "bumper cam" cause it gives you a feeling of going fast. If not bumper cam then first person.
In third person perspektive it seems to me like I'm driving a car with a remote control

I'm trying to learn...

Don't make a racing game. They are one of the hardest games to make (to properly model the physics of the car).

Make an adult movie director game.

if you are gonna make a game, like I said earlier, make it original, and differant, give it a variety. I dunno maybe the police robbing a back and you play as criminals in a car chasing them

Who says it has to be ultra-realistic? All you need is a technocity thingu with lots of tunnels and whatnot, and some sphere things with rockets strapped to them!

a simple 2d side scroller
but the theme is egyption
you jump up and down pyramids
while attacking zombies
eventually fight an egyption god at the end of the stage.
the symbol of the ankh will give you a perfect player life icon
the player can be an escaped worker or an explorer from the civilised world
mummies and cats can attack you
gold can be found on the pyramids and levels to jump to are mini upsidown pyramids
etc.
etc.

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself 

racer
shooter
and 2d scroller.

Which is best to make judging by ease, fun and best category.

I hate turn-based games (except Civ). A 2D scroller/shooter like Metal Slug would be awesome. I loved the hours of mindless blasting away at the baddies.

I agree with Seppuku Arts, anything as long as it is original.
What about one where you are a guy riding a giant ham while trying to collect the feta cheese. (in driving game format)

racer is the hardest to make, followed by shooter, then side scroller is easiest.

Fun wise i prefer shooters first

and i dont know what you mean by "best category"...

I imagine he means specific genre...shooter takes care of itself as does racing, but 2d scroller is a bit broad...
