Our town is setting up a youth group for teens 13 to 19 and they have asked me/my brothers to come up with a name that is cool and as the grown up,s say Hip.
I was thinking something along the lines of 'Zone'
what do you guys think?

Zone is good . But you need a complete message. In The Zone would be better. It adds a sense of belonging.

Are you In The Zone?
You need to be In The Zone!

For this type of group, the name is very important. I've seen and been part of groups that have come and gone, it's worth getting it right.

I seriously doubt they would care if another place had the same name... especially when you live in England and this place is in America.

Before I posted this message I did a search for U-Turn and it's amazing how many places use this name. The U-Turn in my town probably isn't even aware that so many youth groups all over the world use that very name too. Might as well be used by your youth group too.

I'd like to see a youth club that was there as a youth club with no religious angle. They really should be separate. It's should be called "Brak brak brak" which is the sound black female rappers make when pretending to cap people in their tracks. Now that's hip to the hop and you just don't stop.

In my small town (about 9,900 people) we have two youth centers. The one run by the Boys and Girls Club and one run by one of the local churches... the U-Turn. Of course many of the kids go to both. What's interesting is the U-Turn used to be a bar.

I find most youth place name are adults trying to speak down to the youth, and make me laugh.

what kind of youth, our youth club trained chavs, so as benji said 'innit bruv' and would be a suitable name, or 'I'z iz a w***** chav club'

but seriously though, best one so far is Zone, so I'll go with that, the names I'm thinking of put a more negative feel to it...

The name is back dudes!
