Well, it's a virtual computer.

-=Important!=- contains vulgar language

<edit> just so you know, i have only had flash for a week and have read no tutorials, so don't freak out because of the quality, it's pretty good considering my knowledge (barley any!) of flash.

Garth Marenghi. From the most terrifying show on TV:-

Cheers? Erm, I totally loved that show (grew up with it), but saying "cheers" at the end of each post is nothing to do with the show. Used to be a saying when drinking alcohol, but in the few years has become amazingly popular instead of saying "Thank you" or "Goodbye". I've been saying it since Uni I believe (1991). Even with nasty posts or emails I still put it. Is automatic now. Also look around, and you will see several of us tend to put Cheers at the end of each post.

Cheers

Ps. and if we had the history of all posts here since the beginning (the original forum dates before things got refreshed in 2002) then you would find I always end my posts with "Cheers". Actually I do remember forgetting a couple of times (out of the thousands of posts).

Listen Deep Thought 42, I may be a newcomer to flash, but i know my way around FPSC. Oh, BTW, usually someone with a username derived from Hitchhiker's Guide would appriciate the music from it.

You should've said that in your first post.

I do like the music. <edit>I think the movie was not that good except for the catchy tune. Readin g the book before the movie really spoils things.

you know, just switch around "book" and "movie" is truly hell. Then every charachter in your imagination looks like the one in the movie.

@ sarcasm stealth squad- you know, it isn't shockwave really.

swf details

shockwave details
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macromedia_Shockwave

and if you cant be bothered here are the definitive points

Swf
SWF (pronounced “swiff” by some, standing for Shockwave Flash) is the file format used by Macromedia Flash to describe movies built of mainly two elements: vector based objects and images.

Shockwave
Macromedia Shockwave is frequently confused with Macromedia Flash. Shockwave is Macromedia's first and prior to the advent of Flash also its most successful multimedia player. In an attempt to leverage its name recognition all Macromedia players prepended Shockwave to their names in late 1990s.

while it can be called a shockwave file in regards to a flash file, one would usually comment on a shockwave file as a shockwave file and not a flash file.

Yep, movie just didn't "work" for me. Then again, neither did Shaun of the dead (and I loved Spaced), and everyone else seemed to love it. The book was far far far superior, and the original series seemed closer to the mark. Hell, even the computer game seemed to capture more of the "essence".

Cheers
