I noticed that too... But typing in the address manually still reveals the same site. It's definately on the intel server^_~ Prolly bad coding. I'll find out I guess when I get credit card offers for "Jerico's House"

what IS it?
when I read something like this:
Quote: "<RAZ3R> enter info such as name, address, and fake company name :"

then read, wait a few weeks and you have yourself free something! yay!!
it looks illegal.

Is this spoofing intel's system? or are they actually giving away free manuals?

what are the manuals exactly?

obtaining items by fraud?, looks like theft to me, Intel aint giving away those manuals for the benefit of every kid that wants to look cool to their mates, it`s a service for professional (ie real world) developers, if theres enough people daft enough to try this then Intel might just decide to send em the bill, say £50-£70 a copy?, it would serve the thieving twerps right.

I could've used my REAL business name, but I wanted to see what junk mail I would get (if any) directly from Intel.

And I know that my child peers may think I'm cool for having such 1337 manuals, but I'm hardly ordering it for their sake.

I plan to (gasp) actually read through them and see what the hubbub is all about. Perhaps when I'm done I will give them (ie, for free) to somebody who will actually use them for their intended purpose, like (gasp) friends in real life (as if only the ficticious people on the internet program) who may actually get better use from them than I.

Call me a thief, like I care, at least while I'm theiving them they won't be sitting on a shelf in their giant warehouse of things they really want to be rid of. (Their books, not the Intel people)

Amen brother!

Regardless, I see no disclaimer, legal snippet, or anything similar saying who may order and who may not. Also, on the order form it says no information about using accurate data. It sounds to me like anyone can order it.

Got my books today - a fairly large parcel with 5 books. Goes into very, very extreme detail about Intel processors.

Fairly large parcel with fairly huge books. I got mine the other day. Incredible detail. Each book has the same 'introduction' to their entire line of processors, features etc... By 'introduction' I mean a huge read explaining the processors in significant detail including an explanation of all their features, abbreviation meanings (such as SIMD, MMX etc.) Good reference.

Now I just have to (want to) learn assembler to make full use of the books.

How many pages roughly in total? Bigger than Encylopedia Britannica!?

Hard to tell how many pages, as the numbering gets reset each chapter (chapter 1 starts on page 1, chapter 2 starts on another page 1, and so on)

Never saw the Britannica on paper so I wouldn't be able to tell you if it's bigger either.

Hmm, I didn't look how mine was mailed, but it didn't require signing.

Perhaps it's because I live in the States though..
