I was back to DBP this week-end... And decided to restart Goddamn Dis War source code from scratch... (http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=59800&b=8)

Now it's called "Hyper Nova" (a little better no ? ) and I made the concept simpler (just a kind of "Space Harrier" / Shoot'em'up) because the original concept was to hard for me on a non object oriented language...

First fighter just done...

Now working on the real-time processing 3D terrain

> Sett: I just want to make a "Space Harrier" remix. A very old game I was playing on Amstrad. Control a spaceship, avoid objects and shoot on everything is moving. A very simple concept

^ Original Space Harrier game.

Player will have to clean planets and will gain new weapons and spaceships... I don't wan't something complex, just cute and fast!

I swear I played a game called 'Space Harrier 2' on an emulator recently, but I can't seem to find any references to the rom file. Anyway the concept is fun, so this should be good. The screenshots look very nice, but.. I want to see bigger ones!

'Holy jumping mother of jesus in a sidecar with a lobster bib' where in the hell did you jump into the forum from ?
Your modeling skill alone is massivly impressive but the screenies of the landscapes and such really have blown me away well done...Have you been on these forums for ages under a different name....I'm not prepared to belive you are a newbie.
Anyhoo, well bloody done...youve certainly got something with a hell of a lot of potential here and I for one will be checking on it often.
Keep up the great work

p.s. Fancy modeling for me? ... *starts clicking the red heeled slippers furiously*

This looks amazing - I loved 'InSwap', and this looks 100 million times better! Your modelling skills are brilliant, and if the 'Joined:' sign wasn't beneath your avatar, anyone would've thought you joined several years ago. Many complements. The terrain is beautiful, and I love the fighter jet. This looks brilliant, I will be keeping my eye on this thread!

I don't know how to react with all that comments, so I just say "thank's"

Just a little work today during lunch (in fact : instead of having lunch...) with improved terrain textures behavior.

Goin' to bed... Just a little new grab to finish this 6th day...

+ Added a faked "volumetric" fog effect (not viewable on fixed grabs... )
+ Increased by ~20% FPS count (Zbuffer reordering)
+ And switched "on" the jet's reactors

It's still here... on my hard drive... (like dozen of other projects...)

But as I'm already working this month on a software for my business, I like better trippin' on a game during my spare time...

But I'll be back to Fission!

The Google Earth idea is a brilliant one, very clever! The jet engine looks great, and it sounds good enough to wet my pants with joy! This will be one very good game if you keep it up!

Gogetax > At this time I'm using a standard simple Matrix command. Maps are real-time processed by the program itself so virtually infinites. Earch area of the map has a value (e.g. 2 = canyon, 3 = smooth valley, ...). I just have to design the arrays. And to enhance my system to carry real texturing and map objets.

French Gui > J'aimerais! Mais Google Earth a une résolution franchement pourrie pour Reims...

Baggers > It mights be already answered somewhere in this forum [?]Anyway... I discovered DBP on december 2004 and worked ~3 weeks with it. That's when I actually came on this forum... but only for a few days before I left DBP for other projects. In may 2005 I started Fission during ~2 weeks, but no time to finish it.

At last, in end of August I decided to make a small game : InSwap. And that's when I came back on this forum. But now for real.

And worked on a kind of motion/blur/dodge fx... But render is shame I have to do it again in another way...

Gogeta > I have no answer at all I use time limits rather than specifications ones (that's how my brain works). All I know is that I want it to be released for xmas. I'll do the much as possible during the next 2 months. Maybe 1 player, maybe 2 (?). It'll be a small game anyway. Concerning rounds, there will have differents levels/planets.
