Probably way off the mark here, but isn't 3D Game Maker what Dark Basic Classic was called in some countries?

If not, what is it I'm thinking of?

TDK,

I may be way off the mark also. However, I believe 3D GameMaker was before DarkBasic. I am not too sure though.

TDK, I would've thought you'd remembered

The old 'The 3D Gamemaker'? Essentially, choose a scene, choose what enemies you want to put in the game, bullets, your main character and hit 'Make EXE' on the next menu.

'Tis was alright, but it has no scripting capability; If there isn't a Zombie button that you can click, then you can't make Zombies.

Well, can't you make your own models and put them in there? (I've never used 3dgm so I don't know).

Ah... that's right blanky. I've even got 3DGM Lite somewhere that I bought from Asda on a trip back to the UK - but it won't run in XP!

As you get closer to 50 years old, you start running out of brain cells and I'm sure that's what's happening to me!!

So what was I thinking about then. I'm sure one of the DB products went under a different name somewhere. Could have been dreaming though!

Heh, that's where I bought T3DGM too >.<

[Edit: But you are right... DBPro was unwisely marketed as (translated) '3D Game Creator' in France... Doesn't exactly make a programming language seem the most professional, when named like that.]

Heh heh, that's funny, great way to turn off programmers. I got T3DGM in a bundle pack with DB and the book. Zombie Killer, have you tried not assigning the zombies any weapons or projectiles?

Yep, in France
3D Games Creator = DarkBasic
3D Games Creator Pro = DarkBasic Pro

in Germany
DarkBasic = DarkBasic
3D Games Creator = DarkBasic Pro

That's wierd. Now poeple in Germany don't know the complete difference between Dark Basic and Dark Basic Pro unless they look on the back. And if you're from a different country with different translations of the two programs, then you might think the 3d Games Creator (Dark basic Pro), was the "The 3d gamemaker" program written in Darkbasic. man, my head aches.

Cheerio!

I am no noob.

A little question. Can you program your own code and Al in 3d Gamemaker?
