just a random thought, because I'm lazy and don't like to figure out the different times when people post them.

so I was thinking that we could have [time] tags implemented, so whatever time you put in the [time][/time] tag takes the time of your offset, changes it to the server, then when someone else reads it, it displays the time it would be there. like how the "Posted: 18th Oct 2005 10:44" time works

I'll give you some toast

I certainly think it would come in handy, because it's a hassle trying to figure out what the time will be when people in other countries say something is going to happen.

Even if it wasn't implemented as a tag, you could always have a page set up where you put in desired time/country and it tells you what time it would be in say, the top ten countries from the forum (i.e. the ones with the most users).

Go to My Site, get bored and walk away.

That probably would be useful especailly since there are so many events going on and it is hard to tell what time they are really talking about in your area...

What may be usefull is, if in the user profile they post the time offset from the server near where it posts the location. I always just ask if I want to know though

Server time is: 2024-11-16 00:45:13
Your offset time is: 2024-11-16 00:45:13
