yep, the four horsemen of the apocalypse are getting ready, Vin diesel doesn't get a part in Doom and hollywood needs more cash, so....they make a FREAKING HITMAN MOVIE!!! no kidding. Lets see how far they deviate from the actual hitman, I mean VIN DIESEL, question, how is he Hitman material, he was a quiet, nerves of steal, not so muscular, man in a suit, who has no compassion. Vin diesel is a big mouth I'm better than you sorta guy. I guess they picked him because they both don't have hair and love starring in movies with guns in them

Oh and read the news here dudes...

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=11650

thats two of the horseman, annoyed, all they need now is Splinter Cell and Grand theft auto movies, and they're set to end the world with the four horsemen

it must be open season for bad game to movie conversions, good conversions would require wit and ability, something Hollywood does not posess in any detectable quantity atm.

I honestly think Doom was one of the best video game based movies ever, I loved the atmosphere. As just a movie, it wasn't too great. But a movie based on a game, it was good.

I don't understand. Video game movies usually don't do well at the box office. So why pick Hitman, a game that isn't well known? Is Hollywood *really* that choked for original ideas?

I say shave Eric Bana's head and give him the part. He did an excellent job in the gangster movie Chopper.

Well, wait till FFVII: Advent Children, then I think that';; be the best movie based on a game.

@Jeku, I agree, I mean how could they use VIN DIESEL, come on, diesel smells funny, Eric Bana would make a better Hitman, plus apart from ruining a good game, its still useless.
Before anyone contradicts me about saying its crap without even watching it, well two words, Vin Diesel

Thats kind of the problem with it, its like watching the second series of a TV program without seeing the first, you've missed the first part of the story. For you to understand FF7: Advent children you would need to complete the game, and well I haven't seen the movie (obviously) but have high expectations.

@Jeku, I've not seen a single movie of his I liked, so expect ignorance from em about...vin..

I walked right into that one, I do...he had a pretty small part, I don't see it as a Vin Diesel movie, more of Tom Hanks

Where you guys actually expecting something original here? Halo's doing it, Doom's doing it, producers wanna cash in.

Before you know it, we'll have some kind filtering system. Say a movie will be based on a game, then a game will be developed again based on that movie based on the original game. Or do we already have that?

Didn´t something like that happen with Alien VS Preditor? Would have been a great movie if the humans weren´t in it. Shame.

I see what you mean, I totally agree with you there...even if it did made sense.....I just get how he could play a romanian cold blooded killer with no care for his victims, who would put a child to death on command.

Quote: "how he could play a romanian cold blooded killer"
Well, obviously to keep that PG rating that Vin seems to like these days then things will have to change (apart from the bald bit).

1. Romanian = American. Even sounds the same.
2. Cold blooded = Mean, but with a heart of gold (once he knows the family)
3. Killer = Broken leggerer...
4. Child to death on command = Saves a child when he realises he cannot go on killing. He then goes on the run with his fake passport maker who gets wrapped up in things. Before you know it he realises he must kill the entire gang, or the child will die (plus his policeman father) and his entire family back in China. Luckily he is s**t hot with guns and has been doing this sort of movie for years, with the exception of that slow one with swords, and the stupid one with the american pie bloke who likes "pale" beer....

Cheers

Basing Vin's work on that babysitting movie is like basing Arnold's on Kindergarten Cop.
The only roles Vin has done involved being a 'good guy'. Doesn't mean he can't do the evil guy part. Sure, he doesn't look a lot like the original character, but in the game all you saw was the back of his head anyway.
Quote: "Vin diesel is a big mouth I'm better than you sorta guy"

No, Riddick is. It depends on who created the character or wrote the story.

What's this movie supposed to be like? The Professional?

Parts usually are based on what the actor can do, you couldn't imagine Arnie playing as a completely peaceful monk in a movie. Maybe Vin Diesel can play the cold blooded killer, wait for the trailers, I think there are better actors that play the part better (Mr T could make a better Hitman, j/k "I pity da fool who terrorises the middle east")

true, but aww never mind, I just don't see Vin as a romanian cold blooded killer, but if he pulls it off then he proves me wrong, plus I think he is a crap actor.

yeah, the original transporter was a tad better and more realistic, but the actor is the perfect assasin for hire, hitman w/e.

I'm here to do homework, and kick ass.....

Vin would be good in a movie adaption of TS3 as Cortez.

How could you make a plot based on FPSC? in FPSC you make the plot!

He wasn't exactly Mr. Beefy in that movie where he was a mom either.

If transporter is the movie I think it is, it made me laugh (with my dad's bad jokes), found it a bit predictable and unrealistic. Didn't know they made a sequel

Quote: ", but the actor is the perfect assasin for hire, hitman w/e."

He would make a better one, but not perfect, you need a romanian thin bald guy that can act as a cold blooded killer for perfect

Quote: "I'm not Evil Stick, he's a diffrent person and yes, i was mister fist."

I can second that point, already seen an evil stick post today
