Is the 3dsmax 8trial installer broken? i'm a computer admin and in the last 2 seconds of the installer i get an error 1920
Cannot start service "Raysat_3dsmax8 server"

why would you try a program that lasts 30days, takes up 2gigs and slow down your computer??

anyway. i think you need an internet connection on the computer the software is installed

ok.. 2 last secounds..

have you tried closing all running modules and only letting 3dsmax installer run? do you have enough space on teh harddisk? is the download corrupted? try to run a chkdsk. try to defragmet the hd.

it's installed just the server connection at the end won't run and i close everything all tho it's on a wireless lan that shouldn't matter it's saying as well failed to start the server

if its a server.. perhaps you need to open a free port on that router of yours?

also note that i have not tried the trial and i dont know what to do to fix that error.

You never heard of Google? Autodesk fixed that problem about a week ago. It's because your registry probably has an incorrect entry in it and stops a service installing correctly.
