Hi, I just bought DBPro(2-3weeks ago) And I would like to know if I can make 2D games(with collisions,rotation,transparency...and all details)...or I have no choice and I'll have to buy Play Basic???

Thank You

you can do it but it is very annoying. You have no camera control.

Anything is possible it just depends on what methods you use and how you go about programming it.

So yes, that is possible. (P.S Post JPGs bitmaps take forever to load)

Camera control with 2D is deffinitly possible. You just have to adjust sprite variable positions as opposed to camera variable positions. Just look at this 2D game I started working on a long time ago.

Yes, 2d games are VERY possible in dbp. My first game was 2d, and I'd say it's a great way of learning the basics.

If you want to make a game like zelda or mario bros I would suggest starting with something simple like pong, so you can learn the basics of 2d coding, and gradually moving uon to more complex games until you know everything you need to make the game you want.

Yes. In my game I was adjusting the variable positions by 100 if you adjust it by 1 it is fluid.

I suggest you to DO NOT buy play basic , just
download the GAME MAKER 4.3
it`s totaly free and much more powerfool for 2d
games than any tgc app . so you can work hard in dbpro
and maybe even make something , but good game to sel?
