Hiya!

Can someone give me some code to make a program which will randomly generate names of planets, and the user can buy stuff from it using credits and do missions. And you can warp between planets and land at them.

You have basically asked someone to code your whole game.
You would be better off trying for your self it will help your learning.
I am not saying don't ask for help I'm just saying you would benifit more from giving some of it atleast a go.

to start with her is a random planet generator.


The first line tells the program to put the planets in a group of numbers called Planet and then to randomize it between 0 and 9. The rest of the code will tell the computer which planet has which number and the prints the planets name when the specified number is generated.

It isn't much different and I think mine looks neater on the screen, otherwise there is just as much coding involved.

I go into DB and it coes something but how do u start to make a game. I go to FILE and click on NEW PROJECT and it just comes to choose jetski, and other stuff. I click on it and it shows all of the codes. What da heck do I need to do to make a game????? SOMEBODY HELP ME PLAESE?

I thought it was typed using Windows word.

Don't throw your weight around in here, there are people here who have the brains of a planet, and you are but a useless n00b. Never ask someone to write a game for you because you can't write one yourself, or you find it too hard. Programming is not easy, not even in darkbasic. You are basically asking for a complete game engine that would amount to a great many hours of work, my advice to you is simple. Go get yourself a brain transplant, preferably one with an IQ of over 40. I am usually a very helpful person, but in this case i just feel the need to flame you for the blatant disregard you have for other peoples talents and time and the assumption that you can just ask for completed code.

Leik I can make the game, but i don't know teh codez. I can make teh game if you gimmeh teh codez. Saying PLEASE often helps in these cases, but you have not even bothered to say such a thing in your initial post. and that is ignorance of the highest order.

Dude we were all newbies once (some still are) but we(myself, Zotoaster, balnky, benjamin and many others) would never have dared to talk like this on the forum uless we only became a member as a joke and you just wanted to piss everyone one off.

So my advice to you would be to get you act together and treat people with a bit more respect.

Even though I posted code to help him out I draw the line at making the whole game for him.

If your not willing to learn to program for yourself M1RKD1RK... then you're wasting your time here. Look at the tutorials on the forums and read the help files in Darkbasic. You can do it yourself if you really want to make that game.

Well i didnt actually buy DB my dad did thinking i might learn it and make EA games go bust cos I was really good in FPSC but nah ive told him i cant be arsed but he ignores me.

If it was possible to make EA go bust i'm all for it. EA to me is an evil company that chomps up little companies, ruin their games, and fire anybody that's associated with the former company. I can never forgive EA for destroying Origin and it's greatest creation... Ultima.
