On a more serious note

1 who are mike & lee??

Two developers who work on DarkBasic Professional, DarkGame SDK and FPSC

2how many people are developing dbp?

Mike and Lee, I am not sure if Lee is working on something else at the moment.

3will we ever have shadows that dont kill framerate?

Yes

4will there ever be a level editor with db?

No, you can write your own or use one of the programs TGC sell.

5last..how often is dbp updated??

Quite often when the team aren't doing something like developing FPSC. But as DBP was used to make FPSC lots of new features were released with the latest patch

I apologise for my sarcasm, but you can find the answers to all these question very easily. The search button is your friend.

The answer to shadows is within half a dozen posts of this one at the time of writing. The latest updates are stickied in Bug reports, and there are umpteen snippets of info in the archived newsletters on development, Lee and Mike. The level editor question is asked every week, and there are several listed in the sticky posts regarding tools and programs to help your development.

There are level editors, and they are available on the Gamecreators website.

Cartography Shop

3D World Studio

GeoScape

Gile[s]

There is also Matedit, Magic World and various others out there.

Well, sometimes you just have to lay down a bit of money. Christmas is coming up. There's a way to mooch off some people.
