God, you really take broadband for granted! I've been stuck with an auwful 56k since the end of august, when my AV went haywire, and the exchange server (box thing, down the road) decided to break. So I have finally returned, and you shall all get to benefit from my annoying posts once more (now that broadband works!)

The only thing I've really managed to take a glimpse of since 56k was Raven's 'Unicode' argument... but I shan't venture down that route

Apart from that, what's been happening since I dissapeared?

Aye, the 56k days were bad, but I think broadband could be faster

If my broadband dies then I'm stuck, I don't think my pc's even have modems

Yeah, I just realised, that depending on how you read that, it sounds as if I was talking about God taking BB for granted

I was around in the 28k years 0.o, or the years of intense no-css-images-or-good-sites era.

Yeah, 28.8kbps..... those were the days. I can remember showing my dad BBC news on realplayer. We waited a whole hour for that thing to buffer. Not to mention the 14k modem in our Win95 PC

Welcome to the real world . Dial-up really does bite these days, doesn't it? Even worse than it was 'back in the day', now that your average website is far larger.

Blog is death. How? NO idea. But is murder. REVENGE!

I remember last year when our bloody BT went down for a couple of months, the only PC with working internet was the really old Mac with AOL 6, and the browser wasn't exactly Mac os 8 friendly, so it was frustrating using it with its stupid 56k
