Hey,
Is anyone else out their obsessedly and impatiently waiting for this movie to come out? Please dont make stupid, pointless, degrading posts like, "Harry Potter is gay", and "Goblet of Fire's going to be the stupidest movie ever", as it only causes problems. Anyways, what do you think of the trailers, and if your as obsessed as i am, and visit mugglenet.com as regularly as TGC, then you've probably seen these three sneak preview scenes:

One of my g/f mates is in the Yule Ball scene dancing. I don't think they choose the right girl to play Cho Chang though...

I'm not really excited by it, but I don't think I'll see it right away. Maybe a few weeks after it comes out, but I'm not one of those people that wait in line wearing wizard costumes.

Should be very fun. Nice to see they're not cutting it down too much by forcing it into a PG rating, and it's also the longest movie yet, which is a good sign given how massive the book was.

Watching this the day it comes out.

More interested in the transition between book and movie rather then "OMFG ACTORS PRETENDING TO BE HARRY POTTER CHARACTERS".

Yeah but, in most (original) movies the actors ARE the characters. In this case, the actors are just pretending to be characters...

there are WAY to many defensive fans out there.

I personally HAVE read them, not saying they were bad, but all the hype ruined them.

I'll give you some toast

lol, im really not that defensive, and i can accept that someone doesnt like it if theyve actually read one of the books, its just i get annoyed when people judge any book before reading it, not just HP

I've read some of them (1st, 2nd, 3rd and half of the 4th), but after a while they just get too.... long. The story was alright, and Rowling's writing style is fine, but I've always felt there is something missing from them. It might be that I prefer storylines based on things that could actually happen (however completely insane), and put those people in real-life situations (HP does this, but I'm not a wizardy type of person) that reflect the topic. I love the RE book series for this. Anwyay, like I said, they tend to start of kinda slow. And I decided not to take the leap with a 600 page book (No. 6) just to find out who died (I got a friend to tell me ). Anyway, I'm still going to see it.

I'm not too sure about what all the hype is about either. I didn't really like the books - the story lines weren't complex enough and it was awfully predicatable. I bought the first book a month or two after it was released and ever since my parents seem to have gained the impression that it was an enjoyable read and have bought me the others when they've been released. Actually, it was alright for me because I've got a collection of first edition books.
I have to say, the films were better than the books - only because the onscreen action compensated for the dull content in the book which doesn't seem to have any of the "can't put this book down" effect that you see so commonly in say, a Dan Brown book.

I agree with IV E IVI E S I S 100%. The storylines are rather predictable, I must say, and they can be quite dull in terms of descriptive content (another thing I love about the RE books) when it comes to action sequences. I suppose that it comes down to which writing style you like - I suppose that writing in my spare time sort of melds my idea of a good book, but I reckon that I could never read one of those books in, say, 3 days, like I reads the RE books (I'm rather obsessed). You just don't get that feeling that, after reading one chapter, you have to go on with the next one to find out what happens next. Like IV E IVI E S I S also said, the movies fair much better than the books, so I have a moderate expectation for the film.

I can't stand most books with magic in them. It's a complete cop-out to real skill. Oh look, there's a flaming dragon flying toward me! I'll just cast a defensive circle around myself and shoot an energy ball at him! Yay, I defeated him! Lammmeee...
