ya, as we all know, Dirk hasn't been around for 2 years with characterfx...

first of all, i just noticed today that the forum link has 'disappeared' from the insane software website. im wondering if he is somehow still there and editted it. does anyone know the link to the characterfx forum?

second, does anyone else know a different email he might have? what if we could contact him and get him to restart on characterfx? i dont know.. but its possible...

third, is it possible to somehow obtain the characterfx code? cause if dirk isnt gonna work on it anymore, i think we should change it how we like it. i was thinking of reengineering it. but i dont know the limitations of it or even how to do it...

so, any info on what dirk is currently up to might help people to understand what happened.

It is a real shame, CharacterFX is one of my favourite programs - it lets me make bone based animations without having to know too much about what's happening.

He made it originally for his team I think, not sure that making money from it was ever a priority, so he might be persuaded to let someone steer for a while.
