I've been playing around with 'DOSBox' recently,
(trying to play SimAnt ) and suddenly, while using Dosbox,
my Monitor created a menu on screen showing the message

"NFREN=00x041, OUT OF RANGE. DESIST IMMEDIATELY"

When this message appears, the entire screen goes blank. I managed to close DOSBox, and everythign returned to normal. But now it keeps happening


Does anyone have any idea what the heck this means?

Note; My monitor is a TFT.

Your using a resolution and/or refresh rate that it doesn't like and cant support.

About a month ago I got the urge to play SimAnt... I just ran it without using DosBox and it worked fine for me (I use Windows XP).

Yeah, I reckon it must be screen res. Playing out of fullscreen mode and it works perfectly.
