hmm...Whenever my computer starts, it says
Quote: "Alert cover previously removed.

Primary Hard Drive 1 not found.
Secondary Hard Drive 1 not found.

F1 To continue, F2 for setup"

...help me...

If you stand not beside me, then I assume you to be my enemy.

Is the power plugged into the hard drives?

that happens when I forget to plug my hard drives back in so...

I have never opened up the computer. Technically it belongs to the computer illiterate person I live with right now, but I still know more about the computer then he does.

I have not changed or tampered with anything, but I think I will look into it.

[EDIT] Err...if he lets me.

[EDIT2] This is why buying used computers that have less then a 9 Gig hard drive is a bad idea! Argh!

If you stand not beside me, then I assume you to be my enemy.

if nobody has opened the computer and tampered with anything, i would suspect the cmos BIOS settings have been changed, possibly reset due to dead backup battery (combined with an interruption in mains power).

Same, it was just a comment on my frustration at the moment.

And its nearly impossible for me to do any real work on the comp because it's not mine and the person who owns it is paranoid. I know so much more about his computer then him, and it was easy to find out.

Info me found:
Memory: 128 MB of RAM
File System: 32-Bit
Virtual Memory: 32-Bit
Processor: Intel(r) family 6 model 7
Hard Drive Size: 9.51 Gigs
Used Space: 3.75 Gigs

anyone with a brainstem would know better

Well you see, I could easily use that space, its just I'm for some reason not allowed to download anything without asking(reasonable), but then it takes 3 weeks to get an answer(unreasonable because...), and he says yes without wanting to know anything about the program. So I usually dont bother to attempt downloading stuff 90% of the time. Thus the space is unused.

post your computer model and specs.
this helps people to identify your problem and evaluate information found on the web regarding your specific computer.

let me guess you have a generic DELL or something just as ugly and a case monitor has failed thinking your case is open.

remember i have to guess at this point you didint tell me about your ubehnoob box.

aye carumba

yeah using mental telepathy i can SecureShell into your brain and get the information.
asking a question without enough information is like whacking yourself around the head with a soggy trout.(very pointless)

there are a lot of people on this forum who think they are funny with one liner remarks.
maybe the 16th post of the message will shed some more information although i highly doubt it, jimmy has to put his comment in at some point and we know thats not exactly going to be helpfull, just sarcastic in some odd way.

anyway if you disect whats required from this mesage in regards to information, someone can hold your hand as they trawl google for your problem.

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself 

Alrighty then. When I get home I will get all the spec's, I should have thought of that before anyway. And if people are gonna google my problem, I imagine I should do the same, eh?

But I must get home first.
