I think maybe what causes it is that newly added image next to the 'get firefox' image..

Probably, I've moved the apollo logo + buttons up above the google ad, so the width should be less now.

Cool. Have made quite a few more (small) changes tonight, just tidying up things that have been bugging me for a while. Free sherbert lemon to anyone who spots them

Haha yeah, I noticed them as I was writing that last post.

That little box containing 2 thread links, and you have made section titles clickable links... And in top level sections you added those arrows to go to the next/previous section! So, can I have my sherbert lemon now?

I can't really see any others. Although I swear the bit that lists the number of posts at the top of threads has changed somewhat. Probably just my imagination.

I remember the discussion everyone had when we said it made no sense to have the second digit in "# of #" as the current page number. At the time, Rich seemed quite adament in leaving it as it was.

Oh I think I know what it is. If you go to a thread with several pages, it used to be that you click 'go' to go to the last page. Now it defaults to the first page, so you need to select the next page before clicking 'go'.

I, uh... Suppose it'd be too much effort to make it so users could grab the CSS file and testing page, and try and make their own themes and send them to you?

Change it back! I keep cllickin "Go" by default to go to the last page - now I have to select it from a dropdown

So when I want to go to a web site quickly, I just select it from there...

Click the "last" button instead now.

Sorry, no can do. This place has to resemble the TGC web site to keep the continuity going. The colours presented here are just colours taken from that site (orange = 3D Canvas, etc).

I like the blue thing. Here are some suggestions

* You should make this part blue tooclick for larger image)

Because the title bar in the Post Forum Message and the search boxes are blue, and it looks kind of strange...

* You should add a link that brings the browser view to the last post at the top, just like there are links at every post to go to the top. It is kind of annoying to have to scroll down all the time. It should automaticly bring you down when you post too, so you can check it...

Anyway, cool job. I really like the blue! I also feel safer with the report abuse buttons, and the last buton really helps. I also like the Hot topics thing at the top.

Is it really too much work to click the 'search' button at the top?

I agree with UFO, that title bar ought to match the user's color scheme.

Yes, I would like it like that. As long as the navigation buttons at the top right part of the website aren't messed up like that...

Random thing, there's some way to put in a lighter/darker color when people have answered in a thread you did already? I know that's why there's mailback... but most of the time it's disabled <.< and people who don't want lots of mails in their inbox but don't want to put TGC in their spam filter... that can be useful.

Well, there sort of is. I can't believe people get so excited about making a heading a link, when all it's doing is *duplicating* functionality that has existed on the forum since it was first built!!!

C'est la vie.

Agreed. I have always used the 'top' button, I can't see how clicking a link less than a centimetre above it is an improvement. Especially when a top button exists at the bottom of the page and the link is only at the top.

Once you know that "top" means "back to the forum" then its kind of easier to use as its at the top and bottom of the page. The problem is, generally top means "top of page", not "back to forum". This confused me a lot to start with. I ended up using the drop down menu to navigate back to the forum! The breadcrumb train for the navigation is much clearer to new users. Its also a matter of preference I suppose.
