I would have to say it's more of an opposite. You need balls to approach a girl in the first place (especially if she doesn't know you exist), then it's easy to ask them out.

The best thing about geekier girls is that you can just be honest, like as long as you've got something interesting to talk about they're much easier to talk to than the non-geek. Of course the problem then is that it's much more difficult to find geeky women because they prefer to stay home. Maybe once a month there should be a geek night in some clubs, like how some American gyms have women only nights. They could fill the dance floor with retro arcade machines - how's ''Fancy a game of bust-a-move'' for a chat up line!.

Well, eventually, yes. I used to ask girls on dates after just meeting them--- friendly coffee dates or something like that--- but it's not like in Seinfeld where Jerry and George was with a different woman every episode. It's nothing but tough love in the real world, I'm afraid.

Rule of thumb: Try not to look like you're about to face the firing squad when asking out that girl...

The worst that can happen is a "No". Although, no girl says a direct "No" you will get answers that vary in "Busy", "Life" or "Already got one".

Once you repeat this to yourself dozens of times, you can convince yourself it makes sense!

Hello.. my name is Louiz..
I felt this way before.. I have self control now..

The problem is:
_ You get bored by just playing anything..
. It doesn't matter if it is MMO or Single player..
_ It works like a drug for some people, 'cause:
.they get bored by playing a game for too long..
.else if they find the game amazing, they keep playing for even more long..
.If the game is really amazing, MANY OTHER THINGS may sound not boring things..
_ Some people just get 'held' by those *possibilities* that they stop seeing at some time..

So it works like a drug:
_ That *amazing game is now boring for you.. so everything else is boring..
_ Then you lose grip, you lose that enthusiasm..

_ you die.. j/k


Simple solution:
_ get self control..
_ don't use the PC for so long (most people get bored and think that using isn't worthy)..
_ start new hobbies:
..physical activities
..cine
..just walk around, breathe..
..dedicate more time to your girl

At the beginning, try using the computer for only 2 ours a day..
Start learning new things (I started learnng C# to recover my enthusiasm)..
Never give up on the old things..
(give up on MMO only )

I felt this way about 3 years ago..


Never.. never set focus on only one thing..
At gameMaking: your progress will slow down, but you will never give up on projects anymore..
And I bet that it happened to you for some times

Soldat: We downloaded that at school and played LAN during break after lunch - had a LAN Party one time - lots of fun!

I just got WoW - Its pretty addicting I must say Lvl 9 Undead Rogue on Shattered Hand - Guild = Denazorz Had many addictions in the past, gladly nothing like cigs/alcohol/drugs Played CS, GuildWars, Prison Tale, now WoW Oh and of course, DB is an addiction (but a healthly one that helps with your career )

If you want to get off it - just delete the game and give away your account. Simple as that. Other ways are just limit your time spent to only a few hours, or have a parent help. Kick you off the game when your times up.

I play 1-3 hours of games a day and my grades are just fine... Try limiting yourself to 1 1/2- 2 hours a day

If you have a goal, work on it until you fall to the ground.
