Rubber bands are better - they hurt more when you flick them at people.

Marching London is much nicer. Just when the spring is starting, and the sun comes out a bit, and everything just looks better.......

Cheers

I don't know, I think someone flicking a marching band at you would hurt just a tad more, don't you think?

Yeah, those sax players pack a punch

I have several friends in a marching band... one of which accidently clobbered a clarinet player with his bassdrum mallet

I'm in marching band at my high school, Highland in Gilbert, AZ. We went to the first ever competition in AZ in Tucson last weekend, and sweeped it baby (except for colorguard...stupid colorguard), ah weel the state festival's coming up this Saturday. After that it's the Gilbert Days parade and then we get to go into concert band season.

The highlight of the season though, was when we went to the Etiwanda Artistry in Motion in southern California, we managed to take second to Upland even though I ran into a flute player in this crazy pass-through. Saxes always win versus flutes in a collision though, so it's all good.
Got to watch Riverside Community College rehearse and got a little private showing of their Queen show. Damn, that was cool!!!

But hey MKII, don't you get to chill with your senior buddies in concert band next semester?

This one time, at band camp...

I remember the band at school played the theme to Hawaii50 at assembly - that was pretty cool.

Yeah--- when we were in Grade 6 band class we played the theme from Duck Tales. It was great, because the trombone section (my section) did a small solo near the end.

Never had a marching band in any of my schools, though. Must be an American thing.
