By the way, how do you get it so it goes in with the background, I mean, instead of a chosen background colour it fades in with the page's colour? e.g. Megaton's one.

give the image to something like [paint shop pro/photoshop/The Gimp] and save it as a gif. tell it to make white transparent... Or maybe select the background with the magic wand and delete it...
