Hi all, every now and then I pull out useful scripts that I find on the boards because it takes me awhile to find them again sometimes. They were all written by members of these forums.

I am keeping a running page of them, I may organize it better in the future. I did this for my own use, I hope some other newcomers find it useful, there's some good stuff in here.

1) Tutorial : How to use .x media files in FPSCreator. (Creating new Entities in FPSC)(Step By Step)
2) Using a Light Switch to Turn Lights on and off
3) FPI Scripting Tutorial
4) Enabling Snipers on Multi-Level Platforms
5) Dog Bark Script
6) Zombie Script (2 Versions)
7) Trigger a door when object is placed
8) AI Script
9) Script for pickup 3 or 5 items or use 3 or 5 switches to open a door
10) Display Message in HUD
11) Fullbright entity objects?
12) Jetpack Script

Try this:

(1) Type the path like you did in the first post.
(2) Highlight the whole path.
(3) Click the HTTP:// button that's right above the text box.

Then it will work.

OR, you could do it this way...

(1) Click the HTTP:// button.
(2) Type the path like you did in the first post.
(3) Click the HTTP:// button again.

You're missing the button.
It will work either way mentioned
.

This needs to be bumped time after time for sure!

Are you going to add new scripts to it as well? Since many people will read this thread first, they may miss some of the newer scripts.
I'll add this one here, since many users have found this one very useful http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=65207&b=23

Yes, I've been meaning to, I get pulled in many directions of research these days... I will have to wait for a slower period to update it.

Thanks.

Also recommended is that if people find (or make) any nifty scripts - please post them here.

dpharaoh can then (hopefully) link them in the 1st post.

Read Teh Tutorials Teh Scripting, it is a nice series of links to get you started.

Update? Yeah, I wrote that jetpack script and Xilx's version does not work. Put the version I MADE in there, and it even encorporated all of his demands.

Some people just don't understand the concept of "stickies".

On topic: thanks for the info on the scripts, everyone who contributed.

i think that for the melee script, you could use the FPSC throwing animation to make it look like the zombie/enemy is hitting you. sorry if this has already been thought up/covered but ya know, just an idea.

It wouldn't be that hard to make it yourself, just write:

plrwithinzone=1:activateifused=0

type the name of the light in the IFUSED field

Is there a way to make an enemy attack you without a weapon - in other words an unarmed type attack - like a razor sharp claw or paw attack?
