For some reason I can't figure this out:

The games in the showcase area of this site; are we allowed to use them on our site if we give full credit to the makers/designers?

So I can't understand everything, I'm a floppy!!!!!!! I hold 1mb only!!!!!!!!!.....Stupid CDs

Wouldn't it also have to do with whether the maker of the game would allow it?

What do you mean "use" them on your site?

You could just put a link to them on your site, why?

Personally, I'd prefer to be asked for permission before someone uses my game on their site...Don't know how others feel...

And you won't be able to play DB games online, you have to download them

Why? Why not just link to DB's site? As far as we are concerned it would be no different, and you wouldn't have to host them. eg. A link that says Demo1 actually links to whateverdemo on this site. You click it, it asks if you want to download. You don't actually store anything (ie. cheaper and less impact on your site) and you get *exactly* the same effect to the user as if you really did store them on your site.

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

If you want you can put my games on your site so long as you provide a link back to my site for each game and make sure it clearly credits me/my site http://www.teamxtcgames.com

basically, i can't see that anyone would have a problem with you mirroring their work, but you should get written permission from each author.

on the other hand, TGC's server is very good, so i can't really see the point

I don't have a sig, live with it.

well actually I have a forum where users geet credits for posting, as they get credits then you get things like the right to play certain games that I have found on the internet, if I linked to this site they would just download the games from here and not need any credits. Also the site isn't really mine it's a friends, his name is JImmy. Go to
http://jimmyr.co.uk actually cool site with a very nice skin, I think the skin is a bit better then the one here actually.

Well, I highly doubt that anyone would allow you to host their games on a site where you have to gain credit in order to download them. Personally I would want my games to be freely downloadable, without even a user/pass registration.
