wow..so many flames going nowhere.
so i would like to dedicate this silly thread to all those who want to flame,just for fun,flame me get it off yer system so that we can all be at peace and concentrate on actually making good ( or in my case crap) games.
let me start by saying......fpsc is brilliant and will be capapble of producing marketable games and isnt just a fps version of the 3d game creator and tony blair is a brilliant prime minister.

but what's the point? this is what we're trying to get at, all this thread does, is waste server space and bandwidth.

its not even faintly DBP related and people don't just flame because someone told them to, its generally because in their own little world, they're right, the internet's wrong, and there's not a goddamn thing anyone can do to change their mind.

right, i'm going to stop now, before someone decides that i'm flaming.

No, no, no, you are going about this all the wrong way thicko, you should have posted "I want to make an MMO game", if you had the thread would be a few hundred posts long by now! Alternatively, perhaps you should declare that you're doing to do something that's already been done before! Such as an open source FPS game!

manic.....thank you,you dont want to post but you just had to get your say, the sensible thing would have been to just ignore it.
this is my point,i see lots of threads where people complain about being flamed.thus flaming the flamers
if you dont have anything constructive to say then why say it???
no offence i just wanted to see what kind of reaction it got.

Later, huh? This post was a complete waste in every way. I have no idea what your point was, except to get some attention for yourself. If you plan to follow up with more spam, you might get yourself noob slapped or banned.

thank you to everyone for joining in.
its for some software im writing for my club.im going for my 4th dan and started off somthing ive been working on for about 3 years now but only recently decide rather than a report i would make a more interactive type by using dbpro
its about the psycolgical effects some things have.and how they effect people, im working on subconscius responce to certain things but this thread was only a very small part which in a couple of hours did its job.
im not sure how im going to implement it yet but i have the most of the material needed.
so quickly i will explain what happend here.
i posted somthing you didnt like and was really no ones business,but people just couldnt resist putting in a post of what they thought.
form a s/d point of veiw where other instructors firmley believe that if somthing doesnt involve you then its best to stay away.
ive also done this type of thing in the club and on the street for reactions,but i thought it fitting to get one last peice if research on this forum,since you all helped me to learn to program then you could all be a part of my research.
to be honest i was hoping more people would join in,thats why i left it till a saturday,most people hadnt been drinking so it was there normal curiosity and uneffected subconscious wanting them to join in.
if you want more info about what im doing then email me but im not revealing it all as it uses certain "theorys" and techniques that are kept inclub.

Noob slap. You misspelled "theorys", but I'm sure they're brilliant. If this was really an experiment then it failed because you did it wrong. Couldn't you have just looked at other cases of flaming to get your results?

hi cash,i dont mean to be direspective in any way whatsoever but read what i put,it did work,theres a lot more to it than just what is on this forum and its being setup as im making my player or veiwer whatever you would want to call it in darkbasic pro.
it actually worked quite well.
it was a post noone could see the point to and everyone thought it was best locked,you yourself said this,you could just have easily clicked the icon and reported it ,but you didnt,why???.....but you all had to say somthing,your still saying somthing about it,it was nothing to you and no point to it,so why do you let somthing so minor effect you,when ignoring it would have probably solved it,i think you can see where im going and what the info could be used for.
so as you can see,i used this forum not only for research but also for my dbpro program,therefore programming talk. take a deep breath and chill,and im not bothered about my spelling,when go through my project that will be checked for me.
one more thing...arent personnel experiments using dbpro all what this forum is about....think about it...what you might class as learning or research ohters might not,dbpro isnt just about games.

people said stuff because they were trying to understand why someone would do something this seemingly stupid in this specific place, and to let you know not to ever try it again because things like this bring you closer to darwinism.

wow....i ended it and you all keep em coming.
im no genius, i just thought id do somthing for my own personnel use and the use of people who train with me.
next time someone has an idea about doing somthing different maybe there should be a thread telling them to stick to the same genre as everyone else and not to be different.
if darkbasic is just for games then why have i been able to use it for other things?????.
im not bothered if i get a noob slap,maybe i havnt coz tgc realise theres a bigger picture to everything.

cash curtis: if spelling is a problem for you then i reccomend learning to chill out or dont read to many threads,i suppose you text using full words and sentences.

i may in a couple of months put the vids ive been working on (im writing an enviroment for them in dbpro) so you can all see what im actually working on,then again some of you probably will still be stuck in a rut of " dbpro is just for games",quite funny really,what you dont understand you shoot down.

i actually find it quite humorous.
having opinions is a good thing,knowing when to use them or not is the real test.nice to see theirs a couple of people that think about a situation first.i find it funny though how people have made level editors and texture editors and so forth in db but most people think its only a game programming language.
im not going to actually knock anyone coz i invited them to flame away,i dint expect it to work this well,just a pity it didnt have this responce in the first few hours lol.
mikey f: ignorence is shown with the name calling they use,its not there fault,but again my point,you know nothing about me or what i do or what im doing but you call me names like dumb......or noob, a noob makes a pong game..then moves on,ive moved on to more serious things,although im more than happy to say that my coding isnt very good,but it does what i want it too.
