Geek Culture / windows media player 10 opens an activemovie window?

whenever i play any moive that isn't .avi windows media player pops up an active movie window to play the movie, now does anyone know how to get it to go back into the normal window

and another thing is sometimes now the video wont play if ive played a lot of video i will jsut hear the sound, what is the problem

Joel's right.

ActiveMovie is effectively a DirectShow wrapper, which is basically what WMP uses to play stuff anyway. Dunno why it's popping up a seperate window, my guess is that it may be time to upgrade your ActiveX odds 'n' sods... And perhaps DirectX...

i think i fixed it by enabling overlay mode though, and increasing the digital video size
