i`m trying to make a compiler (in c++) like darkbasic.

i would like to make it look simiar to db classic , is it legall to make it look similiar , and how much of it HAS to be defferent.
for now it just have a print command?

also : can i make the code similiar to dark basics (dark basic is like basic , but added futures and changed parts).

It's not illegal to make something similar... otherwise we'd only have one first person shooter.

There are many, many languages out there that use the basic syntax... so it's no big deal to make yours based on basic too.

yeah , well thanks you all , i`l going to try to create it with INTEGRATED DX9 engine , so it is partaly like db , i mean by it`s power .


But there is long (13months) time until my deathline expires , so i`l get to there in time.

they're selling a darkbasic header as darkbasicSDK now. You mite take a peek at that for help.
