hi ruben welcome to apollo.

i think this have something to do with your graphics card.

why? because you said that you used fog, and some graphics cards doesn't support fog effect. those are really old cards anyhow :-\

you also said that after you reinstalled windows you did not get the fog effect you wanted. this may also be your graphics card.

what to do?
* tell us which graphics card you use
* tell us what direct x version you use
* give us some code

edit,
this will help us identify yout problem a little easier

over and out

hi,

i dont think this problem has to do something with my graphic card because the fog worked correctly before i re-installed windows. i was thinking that it maybe it is some windows option thats wrong somewhere... i have no idea where. im using the latest version of dixectx now (9.0c) so that couldn't be a problem.
here is the game code i have yet. (the comments are in dutch cause i am dutch )

thanks for wanting to help me...

Maybe install the latest drivers?? You might have had them before, and they got deleted.

You could also check the values you have used for Fog Distance and Camera distance. If Fog Distance is set to further away than the Camera Distance you may not see it but it could still be having an effect on your objects.

If the program that's not working now hasn't been changed and was working before, then I agree with gamesmad - could need a later driver for your graphics card and/or a DirectX update.

Actually it could cause problems, if your graphics card isn't compatible with DirectX 9 (although Dark Basic only wants DX7...)

...maybe one day I'll finish a project
