time to lurk on the Xbox forums and see what people are saying about it , I bet most people buy the fully loaded version, if your gonna pay that much for a console then the extra £60 or so isn`t going to deter most people from having the better spec machine (and some people are going to end up buying the basic version just cos they "have to have it" and the full ones are sold out)

I'm sorely tempted to buy as many as I can and hope for the promised Christmas shortage and then flog 'em on ebay for a nice tidy profit. Knowing my luck though I'd end up losing money.

At 9 Hours AM today, the shops opened. 30 Mintues later, there was no more X360. I hate this, why everybody said they will wait to see the PS3 and nobody do it in Canada? lol...

With any luck when the 360 is released over here it'll send the price of PS2 games down a bit, giving me chance to grab the ones I've always wanted but never had the moolah to buy.

arrg... how the hell that you finded one? You sleeped in front of a store anyway when i will get my X360, i will buy Call Of Duty 2 but Perfect Dark Zero and Project Gotham Racing seems pretty awsome! The Motion Blur from PDZ is amazing and PGR cars and tracks seems like real-life. COD2 will be great, as i can't stop playing the demo on the PC

To camp out on the street for video games is truly rock-bottom.

You guys really make me feel better about myself. I thought I was rock-bottom just for PLAYING videogames instead of workin in DBP.

Yeah, I would be super pissed if I preordered a Premium 360 just to have them not have it available today. I played the system for the first time today in Future Shop--- it was pretty amazing. Kameo looks just like a Nintendo game

Hopefully this job process I'm going through with a large videogame developer pans out for me (I should find out by the end of the week), and if so I hope they have some kind of purchase plan for their employees

If people are so desperate to wait in line for hours why don´t they preorder it? Do they like waiting in line?
Sony´s strategy with the Ps2 was much sneekier. Have lots availiable for launch and then decrease supply making the ones they have sold more desiarble so when they flood the shops with them not only are they cheaper to make but there´s also an army of raving gamers ready to snap them up.

My signature has been erased by me because it's LARGE.
Thank you for the votez!1!

Why would they? They're different games. That's like comparing Super Mario Bros. 1 to Super Mario on the SNES--- they're different games.

Yup I'm doing exactly that

The only consoles I was ever THAT excited about were the N64 and the Dreamcast, I actually bothered to pre-order those, basically cos I wanted to play 3d versions of Mario and Sonic respectively cos as a kids I loved the 2d versiosn But on both occasions I:

A: Didn't do anything stupid like sleep outside in the cold, I just pre-ordered and walked in after a lie-in and;
B: Regreatted it when no other "must have" games were released for about 6 months, after which time the consoles were about 100 quid cheaper!

I bought the N64 on launch day for £300 I believe, and also bought a memory card, a 2nd controller, Turok (what a load of rubbish, and £70 on it's own!!!!!), Mario, and the Star Wars game for a total of £470 if I remember rightly. God....

Think I've learnt my lesson now. Have an X-Box, GC, and PS2 (and newer smaller PS2 - was so cute!). Totally isn't worth buying the damn things too early. Apart from the X-Box I bought them all on day of release and watched as everything tumbled in price. Rats. At least I left the X-Box quite late (a year ago) as it didn't look that great (big and clunky) in my bedroom. Probably saved a few hundred on the original price over here.

So will not bother with a 360 for quite a while. I can resist...... Luckily I still have about 20 unplayed games on all 3 consoles that I haven't got around to playing. So should make me resist temptation..... until the PS3 comes out.....

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

Kinda reminds me, all 8-bit NES consoles initially released in japan were defectious, and were returned to the factory. Nothing has changed in all this time?!?!

First off, half the eople who preorderd it will get the system now,the others will half to wait until april, and secondly microsofts marketing wasnt the problem it was that damn mountian dew every ten minutes skeem they bought ten thousand of them and still didnt have enough, because microsoft couldant produce enough in time.

Microsoft SPONSERED the mountain dew thing. Part of the brilliant Microsoft scheme! And april because microsoft likes to make its paying customers WAIT, and then the new customers reap the benifit. A lot of people at work were like "Yah, I am getting that during lunch". I laughed, and they hated me and said I was lieing, and it would be available..everyone returned pissed, not having an xbox 360

Hey guys,
i rented the Xbox 360. I picked the only game avaible at the video club, Need For Speed Most Wanted. One word for the Xbox 360: WOW!!!

This is something. I paid 25$ for a Xbox 360 rent, and i not paid that for nothing.

i think its quite fair to compare them, the first one was a ground breaking fps, i want to know if the new one is equally as revolutionary, is it just as balanced? as there as many gameplay options as the first one? will rare ever succeed it in its hopes to make a successful sequel?

Bull. I get mine December 6th and I preordered it. Reason beign is because of shortage of supplies.

And COD2 with ps2 graphics... you've just solidified yourself as an even bigger moron in my books.

Anyways I can't wait to get mine because I have PGR3, Kameo, COD2, and PDZ on my shelf just waiting to be played... and no one I know has a 360.

I checked it out.. Call of duty does not have a co-op mode for the missions part of the game..

By the way, just bought Condemned yesterday and it's really kick ass!
