Well I suck at advertizing my website. So i figured I would come back to these forums (which I left when my mom took my computer away) and ask how you guys advertize your sites. I have very limited money to work with and I am not really selling anything. (I have a shop but thats more of a joke than anything else [but you can order from it]).

Here's what I am doing right now:
mini fliers, I made 10 mini fliers and made 1100 copies at Kinko's. I hand them out to people that ask me about my shirt (it says "I am the-real-87")

sigi, you can all see that, I use it on all my forums.

and verbal, I tell people about it.

Any other cheap or free suggestions?

Maybe a slightly purdier front page would increase interest(the eye looks kind of low quality for a start). No idea about advertising though. >_<

As soon as I can update again I will add some sparkle. But I have to wait until I get a desk so I can set my computer back up.

loliez at those t-shirts

what exactly is your site though, all it seems to be is poetry and a shop

and regarding poetry(i use to write some before i came emotionally stable, without drugs) try to write something happy emo that will really freak some people out think about it
"the best poet ever has got to be the happy emo"

(regarding poetry, im joking)\

and another thing even if you got 100 people to come to your site what reason would it be to stay there
once you've read all the poetry theres not much left

btw
have you not made anything useful that could be on that website since im assuming that you use dbp/c being at these forums

ok, I just hit him with a shovel. Is he still conscious? Yea, I think so. Then hit him again!

I could throw on my old snake game. But I think that would kill the style. I was considering throwing on some old pictures that I took, but I stoped doing the whole photography thing so I would never update that section and it would get boring.

And fyi Offset of reality one of the poems on the site is being published, and I am winning cool awards and junk because of it.

As for other possible content. I was considering adding a journal, or blog type thingy so people can understand just what an emo kid does in his day. I am going to add a guest book, so other people can add emoness to it.

I am also going to be contracted by a friends band (<<insert band name here>> [and no joke that is the bands name]) to write their lyrics, so I will be able to add band stuff to it.

In the next few weeks I am going to add a lot of new content, I just don't want it to go unoticed by the general masses so I need a way to get people to go to the site (*cough* why I posted this thread *cough*)

The only new idea I have is to add a "Send this poem to a friend" email things on each page with a poem.

Also once I get some money together I am going to sign up for google's adsence (or adwords I can't remember) and hopefully get some hits that way.

p.s. you should all go to my site, and buy a shirt, or two... hundred.

I got it. I could branch the site out.

ok follow me here. I can branch the site into sections with the home as an index. The first section being called "Writing", this being of coarse poems and stories, and my shop. The second being called "Project 87" being all my programming projects, and the like. The third being "Day to Day 87" This will be pictures and video clips that I take through my life. And of coarse I need a branch dedicated to a picture of a large and ugly spider. Oh and a section that would be my daily journal.

Look at the picture.

Have you ever seen a spider all up close? They are more ugly that the uglies of all people, even that guys from Kill Bill II with all the white hair. THEY ARE UGLY!
