I know that DarkBASIC sound commands are only designed to play .wav sound files, but is there any way to play other formats? .mp3, for example, or .wma? also, is there anywhere i could find out what format different files are stored in - meaning, what is the layout of the file, so that i could create a converter?

Don't try converting other file types to .mid. They sound awful that way.

The 'Music' set of commands can load non *.wav files. Might be a tiny bit (on new computers, no difference) laggier with starting and stopping than the 'Sound' set of commands.

Load Music "blah.mp3",1
Play Music 1

16-colour PNGs pwn.
