Yeah,
My idea was to actually have two Huds.
One completely dark (or filtered).
The second one the same only with a transparency in the spot of the flash light shining.
Centering a small transparency assures aim with gun.
You want it to shine where the gun's target is of course.
So, we can shoot what we see with it, if we choose.
Switch back and forth for the on / off effect.
It required placing no lights, because the darkness was in the Hud Filter (Hud #1), and not the lights.
Hud #2 was the "light" showing through in that transparency.
Yeah that was an idea for anyone to script.
It is simply a thought.
I have no claims on an idea.
Go for it!
If I could do transparencies, then we would all have a flash light by now.
Cheesey? I admit it.
Garbage? You decide.
I can't remember who suggested that I use ambience instead.
That's another Idea, but it wasn't mine.
I really can't remember who suggested it.
I thought that was worth experimenting with.
It does provide any color light you want though.
Those experiments lead to the night vision glasses.
However, that's not a direct light that we can aim.
Like a flashlight. The two Hud method is.
Its all good though.
I really dig those purple shades man.
