Hey guys , Ive got a great idea for an online game , im thinking it should be p2p based as long as it can support more than 2 players at any one time (state the maximum clients no. if you can) . So If any one can guide me /give me tutorial links that can help me in making a multiplayer engine (both client/server or p2p) Id be most grateful .

In DBP - 3D is easier than 2D , 2 player is easier than Single player , Dont you think life rocks .. ?

Read the examples in dbpro and look in the code base there are plenty of example source codes which will show you how to get basic multiplayer and you can move from there.

Well I had to teach myself from the available resources. Its not that hard just setting a connection creating a game and sending/receing data from memblocks.

The best way to start is like this:

Then you add some more code, which will customise the loading of your objects and the way the objects are used, including detailed information about how the different players will interact. Then you finish the code like this:

If you use my system then please mention my name in the credits, but feel free to customize the code as much as you like. I hope you enjoy the extreme flexibilit in the way it is written

Keep checking this site TDK_Man's tutorials they're usually very helpful, but as you may notice, multiplayer hasn't been done yet...

This may not be 100% what you'll be after, I can only guess... But as I said, these are usually very helpful, although you do actually have to read them.

...maybe one day I'll finish a project
