I do most of my gaming on my laptop for some reason (yeah I know that's sad, but it has 2x the ram on my pc and a better gfx card) That's all fine and dandy as far as I'm concerned, but it's a widescreen and things end up a bit streched at times

So, however impossible this may sound, is there a way to force my widescreen to not strech the pixels? I tried google and several download sites, but no such luck. I don't really care if I end up having black borders around the edges, I just don't want the strechy view to ruin my gaming, that's all :p

If you're running an nvidia card then definately yes, other cards may have the same or similar option.

What you want is something called 'display mode timing' or something similar. Nvidia cards have an option called 'fixed aspect ratio' in there, where it forces the display to appear correct to the aspect of the resolution.

If you haven't got an nvidia card see if you can find something similar, I'd be surprised in nvidia are the only ones to have it.

Don't look at me like that!

It's a ATI x600, but wouldn't you know, after poking through a buttproduct load of menus I managed to find the right control It's buttugly tiny now, only takes up a box half the size the screen, but no more streching!

Thanks man
