Gateway computers slow?
If a slow computer can consist of 2GB/ram 256MB/videocard 3GHz+/proccessor etc....... then I would agree. I think you meant "your" gateway computer is slow.

hasnt it come the time when anyone with 56k should be shamed? and you think this forum is bad loads of forums have anims in there sigs that are around 3megs and some sigs fill the whole page just cause they decided to use font size 100.

More like BT who haven't bothered to put in the broadband lines yet. And anyway, only something like 17% of the UK population gets & can use broadband...

(They say all this '70% coverage' stuff, which is crap. Yes, the lines go that far, but a lot of the time you get this 'You're too far away!' or 'The line quality isn't good enough' .... crap.)

Damned BT. And my Nan would probably use Broadband if there was a decent pay-as-you-go provider in her area.

One of my home computers is an old gateway (maybe 3-4 years old) and it runs perfectly fine for being a 1.7ghz machine, and I believe the current uptime on it is around 2 months without being restarted. In the past it only restarted for microsoft updates and power outages (if any).
