It's crap! (But please bear in mind that this was made in a couple of hours on a rainy Saturday afternoon and my next game will be MUCH bigger and MUCH better!) The idea of this game, though, is to stop the ball from rolling off the matrix and it speeds up with every level. There are an infinite number of levels, but I can only get as far as level 14! Time increases with each level too, and I do know that the controls are reversed in the game, I did that deliberately!

It's looking for an animation in the wrong place, check your code, specifically the section that loads the animations (make sure you're not using absolute referencing...)

Sorry everyone. It seemed to work fine when I installed it on my PC. I'll have a look at it and get back to you. Fortunately I didn't delete the source code!

true. not that deleting source code isn't good for freeign those valuable kilobytes of hard drive space, but it's nice to keep it!

I use the installer for a reason. Though I can't think what that reason is, I'm sure there is one. Try this file, I think I fixed it, but with the same music throughout.

I got to level 11 as well, doesn't seem much possible after that lol. All I did was spin around in circles, which worked pretty well. My only complaint was that you used an installer *I hate installers*. But pretty sweet for your first game Btw, nice license agreement in your installer, pretty funny stuff

I was tempted to click no to the license bit, sounded a bit like "Do I have permission to erase all your data?"

Anyone interested in Stay Alive 2? Not finished yet but I'll put it in this thread as soon as I finish it. Here are some changes from the first one:

1. NO INSTALLER! (by popular demand!)
2. power-ups
3. unlockable extras (new boards, new modes, new powerups)
4. normal controls (not reversed as in Stay Alive 1)

Oops, I forgot to mention that the idea of the game still is to stop the ball rolling off the board, and there are more unlockables than I mentioned in the above post, I just don't want to tell all right now.

that's odd. everyone else seems to be OK with it, might be your system, but maybe not. Stay Alive 2 is on hold, The Island has been scrapped along with Mission Street, but more games are planned.
