"John Lennon was shot four times in the back by Mark Chapman who had asked the former Beatle for his autograph only hours before he laid in wait and killed him."

25 years ago, on this very day, John Lennon was shot. This should be some kind of memorial day since almost everyone knows about him and what he has done. There was also a story about Chapman on NBC a couple weeks ago that played and described all those "secret" tapes where Chapman describes why he did it.

Can you belive that such a great person was shot by an insane, metally unstable, person?

You have to see that documentry that I metioned on my first post. To sum it up, the guy had some obession with John Lennon and just one day decided to kill him.

Unfortunally, they didn't. The guy, also unfortunatlly, is still alive, but fortunatly, he is still in prison.

Yeah I just finished watching that show - he wasn't even properly mentally ill. Just some US bible-belt freakshow loser, craving attention (which he didn't even really get from it.. no public trial, most people don't even know his name.. idiot).

I watched the show too - that guy was just wrong in the head - he used to love John Lennon & the Beatles but as he grew up got depressed because he was unpopular - then he "found Jesus" and got obsessed with a book about teenage rebellion and decided to live out the book and avenge John Lennon "insulting" Jesus by Killing him. Loser!

I saw that show awhile ago and it made me really mad. Such a special person was killed by a "deranged gunman". He ruined his life by dropping out of college and going after John Lennon because of that stupid book.
