.X files for DB have to have names with the 8.3 DOS format.

Try renaming the file and use:

Load Object "ratblend.x",1

It could be that the object has no UV mapping data on it. Either that or the texture that comes with the object isn't in the same folder. If the object can't load its texture then it wont load. Also if it doesn't have any UV data it wont load. If it doesn't have any UV data you'll have to open it up in a modelling program and unwrap it.

Have you saved your project since you added the model to the folder ?
Sometimes I get this when adding new media then I resave the project and it recognizes the model.

not much different from my last one
the file is attached
i used a program called blender to create it.

Hmm interesting. I havent tried it with anyother programs yet but. When I try to open that box model with milkshape I dont see a thing!
I havent used blender much. What are your export options ?
Ill try this box model with my other tools in just a bit when I get off. But if Milkshape wont open it good chance nothing will Seems to be a model problem thus far.
Theres a good chance you just dont have the export options set right.
Do you have an option to export in text or txt format(under the .x export options? Thats the one you want. List your options here if you can.

Try downloading the Blender 3ds exporter and using that to start with as there seems to be a problem with the exported x files you've posted

(ie 0 triangles, 0 vertices and a blank screen)
