Newcomers DBPro Corner / could not understand command at a line where I have no command

I am extremely confused when I use the check syntax, an error message comes back could not understand command at line 393 and opens a new blank source file under the error message, my last line of code is at line 335
any help would very much appreciated

something that you need to realize(it took me many time to also) is that when darkBASIC says that it reaches a problem with your code at a specific line number, it can be anywhere from 5+ lines before where it says the error is. For instance, if it says "error at line 25" then the error may be at line 20,21,22,23,24, or 25. It may be before 20 as well, but not usually. So errors kind of require a bit of searching on your own accord to find.

When the reported error line number is greater than the last line of your program, then usually it means that the error is with one of the lines in a #include or external file.
