Yo all!

Ever Since I Finished SW KOTOR 2 i have wanted to get my hands on a kotor 3. i have heard no news of this, but if anyone knows anything post it here. also if anyon has any ideas for a story line, or new features post here.

here is mine:

i think the player should be a child on Telos or something at the start. The Face Should be FULLY costomiseable.
You get taken by bastilla and some other jedi to the first hidden academy after the jedi order died in kotor 2.
you grow into an adult, and learn the ways of the force exetra, and stumble along the path of revan and the exile.
you perswade them to go to the accademy, and then go off to the ruins of taris to find an ancient relic.
you take it to the jedi and they tell you to go and find the dantooine academy. their you must destroy the sith leader.

I like to code! yay! woohoo! now stop reading this. I said stop reading my bloody signeture. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. o, you win

I loved the story in KOTOR 2, very well written and planned out. Plus the ability to choose the events of KOTOR 1 and those having an effect on some of the events later on in the game.

I do think however that answering the question of what Raven was searching for may detract a little from the appeal of the story.

Both KOTOR games were ended in such a way that there's possiblities for more but it's still closed enough to be left. I have a feeling that they may leave KOTOR closed for now. In some ways I think that's good, since trying to do a sequal too quickly can ruin it!

If they do a KOTOR 3 however I'd like to them to change the rpg system and use something other then the D&D rules, make a whole new engine and build a rpg system specifically for the game. I'd also like to see something a little more long term, rather then the fast-track training and experience that we've seen so far. It's a little ridiculous having a character start as a nothing and become a Jedi Master in just a few days time, although they did create an interesting explanation for that in KOTOR 2.

Don't look at me like that!

KOTOR is a 3 part trillogy, the third will be done. I wonder if it will be obsidian or bioware? Sigh, 2 had a great story and was destined to be much greater than it was. Lucasarts bullied obsidian into a 12 month development cycle - pft, 12 months is hardly enough for a decent FPS let alone a KOTOR scale rpg. Thus it was riddled with bugs (no really, it was :/ If you didnt experiance them, lucky you, they were still there) and the ending wasnt even the planned one. TONS of stuff got cut because they didnt have time to finish it and alot of the old media is still in the files if you fancy reading it. I belive there was once a mod in progress to restore the lost content and proper ending, dunno how far it got.

Interestingly, lucas tried to bully Bioware into the same 12month dev cycle for kotor1, but Bioware are no small company and were able to bully back and it totally shows. The quality of kotor1 was very high. Obsidian are kinda small and a little new to the area's - damn talented bunch but really didnt have much pushing power to fend of lucasarts, that also shows.

Revan is off fighting the true sith on the edge of the galaxy (not going into it but you can net research "true sith") and I recall something about looking for some weapon to fight them or somat, but that may just be a rogue memory At the end of kotor2 you're told all this and you are off to join him. Now the third game I see happening in two ways: You could be a third big player off to join the fight against the true sith pulled there by force/destiny/whatever. Could be interesting if the character design is any good and they have a nice story for why its happening to him/her.
The second way I see it playing out (and the way im secretly hoping for ) is you'll start off as the Exile again or something and do some story events etc working your way towards the edge, then you will switch to Revan and do simular with him and ultimatly Exile and Revan should meet up and become a party of which you have control to go take the fight to the proper badguys. I think that would be cool if they do it cleverly One can hope!

Anyway, nice series yes, hope 3 is good, hope they get more than a 12month dev cycle too

I want to play as revan. Just revan. You get to choose the start. "Light" or "Dark". Easy as that. I hated kotor2. It was a horrible game. Kotor 1 really, was a changing revolutionary game.

Knights of the old republic was great the sequel however was buggy, poorly thought out and felt unfinished. I doubt I'd buy a third unless it got killer reviews

the first was a great game, dunno about "revolutionary" but certainly very good. The only problem the second had was his bugs which you COULD play around so it was only truely "apauling" if you are a very impatient player It was missing at least one section (hk assassin droid factory) and had a cut ending, but hey all of this you can blame on lucas with their bloody stupid dev cycles.

Not playing the third kotor would be like watching starwars episodes 4 and 5 and not bothering with 6...

It was revolutionary. First rpg to come out and act like it did. Before fable, and everything. Non-linear gameplay rocks.

The first Kotor game was one of the most polished games I have played in recent years. It also had an excellent plot. Its sequel was adequate but unpolished and the plot was quite poor in comparison.

If Lucasarts are going to produce a KOTOR III, I hope they polish it. Personally, however, I'd be even keener to see a new Jedi Knight FPS game.

Strange, I thought the story in KOTOR 2 was excellent but the general concensus here suggests otherwise.

It was still better than most games of that ilk, and certainly better than most star wars games, the majority of which were awful. Trouble is it wasn't as well written, balanced or finsihed as the first, so people can't help feeling dissapoointed and thus putting it down more than they perhaps should

This is completely different from the experience I've had with the game, true the beginning is a slog to play through again and again but with the variety of ways the characters can go there's loads of replay value. I've already managed to turn the Disciple and the Mandmaiden into jedis and I'm certain that both Atton and Mira could be taken down the same routes, there's also the theory that they can all be turned to either the light or dark side, so there's potentially 8 different stories there to play. Not to mention to interaction between the characters.

Overall I felt only the ending wasn't very well done, the rest of the story seemed pretty well thought out and worked very well when I played through. Thing is, it might be my twisted way of viewing things that explains why I enjoyed the game so much.

I do want to point out that I've been playing the PC version not the XBox one and I've found the last patch of the game to be pretty stable for the most part. There are a few bugs still there but nothing that really damages the gameplay.

Anyway, on KOTOR 3 ideas:

I think they shouldn't touch the story of where Revan has gone, mainly because it would detract from the mystery of it all. Perhaps they should have Revan return to the republic dead, and no one ever finds out what really happened out there.

Don't look at me like that!
