Can anyone please tell me why this wont work, or fix it fro me so it does?
i changed it so it uses no media just for this

It's suposed to move the camera to the limb position (limb number 1 for, object number 1)
but all it does is move the camer to the object position at the start, then keeps the camera still apart from pointing in the direction of the object

thx in advance

There may no "holes" in the limb numbers. If you make a cube, you have 1 limb: 0. So, when using add limb, the limb number has to be 1. Next 2, next 3 etc...

I think it is positioning the camera at the limb, but its camera 1 that its positioning. You havent told the program to display camera 1's recordings to the screen. Camera 0 is automatically the default camera unless you state otherwise.

Try adding in a TEXT command that gives you the position of the users object (obj 1), the camera 1, and the limb, if the camera and limb positions are equal and the object position isnt then its working.

Look up the camera and screen commands to figure out how to show what camera 1 sees to the screen.

just b4 I do that, are u sure?

cause camera 1 is *sortof* working fine, i only set camera 1 to point towards object 1, it is actually point in the right direction, just not positioning in the right spot.

I might be wrong though, but that logically should be working i think...

I also tried positioning an object to the limb position & it wouldnt let me, so that might be a glitch in dbpro...

thx anyway...

EDIT:
i tried that, it's not reading the limb position right, its returning X:0 Y:0 Z:0 for the limb positions...
help? lol thx

any1 got any more ideas?

it works here, you move around with the cursor keys and the camera follows the green sphere, no problem, are you up to date with your patches?, I did notice one slight bug, as you turn you can see the edge of the cube flicker down the middle of the screen, you can fix that with hide object, it can still be followed etc when hidden, but it makes sure you can`t see it when you turn quickly rather than relying on the automatic culling of backward facing polys, try patching Pro to the latest version and then try again, like I say, it`s working, so I cant find the error.

Windows: 32 bit extension/graphical shell for a 16bit patch to an 8bit OS originally coded for a 4bit CPU, written by a 2bit company that can't stand 1bit of competition, now available in 64bits.

So u mean that the camera is above the limb (the box) and then instantly is teleported to that player (Green ball) ?

//Edit:

BTW: works for me too - DB Pro 5.9

My code so far

patches... i never thought of that...
im not sure which patch was my last one that I installed, i have a problem with windows insteller (damn viruses(especially the ones that get into system files)) and i cant install some things on my computer... dbp patches are one of them.

so, how do i find what version of dbp i'm using?
or to make it even simpeler, was there a version that limb position *(...,...) always returned 0 as its result?
