buy into technology on the level you can afford, or smart rent the hardware gaining tax returns.
buy into technology when the price hits a sweet spot. check the market every 6 weeks and watch something reduce in price.
buy into the latest technology when your guaranteed a return in profit, eg work from the computer or hardware.
eg: a 9800 pro ATI 256 AGP8x on pricewatch.com is ample enough for my video editing suite but later i will buy PCIX when its a little cheaper and the process starts to slow down. btw its like $183 at the moment.
a x800 pro ATI 256 PCIX is only $179 or so.
