Geek Culture / windows media player won't play windows media audio,video,mp3 or anything!?

I'm having some problems playing anything with windows media player, it says there is no codec for everything i'm trying to play
so what is wrong with it?

tutorials,programs,useful but simple php scripts, a place for code snipplets and more at

have you restarted since this error and it still persists?

have you checked if the codecs are still there?
