Erm, probably an iPod 60gb. Getting fed up with Sony one. Is really tiny and incredible battery - 70+ hours, but small 1gb capacity and absolutely *no* accessories with a crappy LCD. They sell new models (and drop the old ones) every couple of months. Expect those nice purple ones to stop soon (esp considering they need a new model with a colour screen to compete). Would buy the new creative, but it looks a little chunky, and I've never quite liked the looks (plus I don't think you can get above 30gb). Creative is better overall though (higher colour screen, more video battery life, and easier to put movies onto). But the massive accessory range (even though needs to get started again for the new iPods) wins it for me. Plus I'm not bothered about the video playing capabilities.

Apart from that?... erm..... Perhaps a new graphics card. But I doubt it.

Oh, and I saw a JVC back screen projector TV with 70 inches and 1080p panels (oh yes) for about £3500. http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=1130 May not be a proper plasma or LCD (although will have LCD panels inside it, but projected), but back screen projection has come on leaps and bounds lately. And where else can you get a 70 inch 1080p TV for under the price of your house (make that car for UK)? Dribble. I spent £2500 on a TV once (36" CRT just before plasma became cheaper), so is not so much a stretch..... gibber.... drool..... Oh course where I would put my 104" (pathetic 720p resolution. Grrrr...) projector screen is another matter...

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

As odd as it might sound, I really like the idea of asking for nothing. But I know if I did, come Christmas day I'll wish I hadn't.

This is the first year I haven't actually asked for anything inparticular (apart from a Billy Connelly DVD), it'll be interesting to see what I get.

soapy - socks.

But you know, over the past couple of years people have stopped giving me socks. This might sound crazy, but it is somewhat upsetting! People underestimate the luxary of a really nice pair of socks. Its one of those things you rarely bother to buy yourself because at least one relitive is usually reliably going to buy you a pair of socks on some special day, birthday christmas etc. I personally quite enjoy a nice comfy fluffy pair. But as people have stopped buying them most of mine are becoming full of holes etc and I have very few decent socks left. I might actually have to buy my own if no one pays up this year

I seriously don't deserve anything this year.

My wife let me buy Animal Crossing DS and Advance Wars: Dual Strike DS.

That will tide me over until next year

Hahaha! Absolutely hilarious. How long do we have now until we actually start giving lifelife robot female companions to our lonely male friends for Christmas?

I'd say--- under 50 years.
